Life On Mars
I'm not talking about the American one. I mean, I guess you can talk about the American one here. But the English one pwns
Sam Tyler (played by actor John Simm ) is an English detective who is involved in a car accident, slips into unconsciousness and suddenly finds himself in 1973. Is he mad, in a coma, or back in time?
In this new world he can hear doctors, family and friends who, presumably, are gathered by his bedside in 2006 where he lies in a deep and possibly irreversible coma in his head. While stuck in 1973, he is given the position of Detective Inspector (as opposed to Detective Chief Inspector back at home) and is forced to succumb to the authority of his DCI, Gene Hunt, the ultimate bad cop, hardboiled detective. As in 2006, he helps solve crime and murder, although, there is a difficult barrier he has to overcome: how to get back home.
I could talk about this show for weeks. It's pure ownage. XD
Anybody else?

Re: Life On Mars
Mikey. The American version is fine.
The premise is kind of odd (to say the total LEAST) but it's a good show.

Re: Life On Mars
HEY. The Office is the exception. Both versions are equally HYSTERICAL.
Plus, I get no BBC America. Which makes me angryful.
xD Anyway, I'm sure the English version was better (the origs always are!) but seriously.
Yes, I gave you the eye Mikey.

Just look at Kath and Kim.testosterone boy wrote:No american version of anything is fine if you've seen the original version first
I haven't seen either versions of this, but the premise sounds interesting. ^^
I'll have to check it out sometime.

Re: Life On Mars
Okay, Kath and Kim (American version) is retarded. xD

BOTH versions Mikey.

Re: Life On Mars
Nahh no way. The American version will just never beat the British one, soz.
I could go on about how I strongly, strongly dislike the American Office, but I won't. XD
I bought both series of Life On Mars for $30 each, which wasn't too bad, considering they were down from $65 each. (and 'cause we're doing crime fiction in extension English for our year 12 module I'm totally going to include LOM in there somewhere, somehow )

I have never seen the British version of LOM.

I'm not saying it's any worse.
I'm saying it's probably better.

Re: Life On Mars
Yeah I know, I was just being a British TV show elitist. (>_>) I probably sounded all mean, sorry.
I watched the final episode of LOM today. It's one of those sad-but-happy endings. asdljdfs -loves this show too much-

Re: Life On Mars
^ yeah, I'm pretty sure they canceled the AmV of LOM.
No one wanted to watch the show!
But apparently, everyone loves Kath and Kim (AmV)

Re: Life On Mars
Okay, I fail at life. I know.
I'm not everyone either Mikey. -__-
Stop being right!
Anyway, I plan on watching the Brit version of LOM.
:D
It's got to be more popular than the American version....
I'm proud of being wrong and failing.
