"Ocean Of Pain"

For those who don't know, I like to write my poetry as if they were songs. And please, no copying! I poured my heart and soul into these, and this is one of my favourites... Enjoy!


"Ocean Of Pain"

Verse 1:
Each day is like a chapter,
Each life is like a story,
Every time you turn a page,
You’ll find me with no glory,
Believing things will go my way,
Will only get my hopes up,
In all honesty things lead to pain,
There’s never a time for enough,

Bridge:
Sometimes I wish I had died,
To end the suffering of what’s inside,

Chorus:
This igniting flame melts my heart,
A cyclone tears my soul apart,
These days I get caught in the rain,
I’m bleeding an ocean of pain,

Verse 2:
I’m thrown over-board, no acceptance,
I’m drowning helplessly out there,
The evening comes and the water is dark,
Nightmares of eternal despair,
I’m stranded here with no light,
I give up without thinking,
To let go of unfinished tears,
This anguish leaves me sinking,

Verse 3:
Replaying moments of my torment,
Trying to shake the images you gave,
I’ll drill a hole and rip them out,
And let my blood drip down on your grave

Can I just say, it really ruins the piece for me to see "Verse 1" and "Chorus" written as headings all over the place.

I really like the last verse though.

Yeah, I wrote them as songs you see lol I dreamt of becoming a singer/songwriter, but I'm being realistic now lol so I wrote them like they were lyrics, and I guess I'm just posting them as is... sorry if it's annoying

....but there's a seperate forum for lyrics.

And see, even if they are lyrics, you don't need to explicitly point out which part is the verse and which is the bridge and chorus.

I see your point, it's just I don't really see them as lyrics because there is no music to them... it's hard to explain but yeah lol
