I noticed a few people asking for reccomendations, so here's a topic for it. Post here with what kind of book you're looking for, or give suggestions to other people looking to read.

The point is actually to ask for reccomendations lol@chu

Like, Nelle posted her own topic asking for people to give her suggestions - now I've made one so that people can keep the posting in one thread and not clutter the forum up.

Seeing as I have an income now, I wish to buy books.

So anything really, as long as it's not too old. Or too hard to find.

Genres: Teen, Fantasy, Comedy, Mystry, Thriller, Romance, Philosphy, (auto)Biography... No horror, since I'm scared easy.. No western.. ect.

When I say romance I don't mean.. "OMG that guy is so hot 'secks'"
I like gay/lesbian novels.. not sex novels.. I'm more into the relationship stuff... Ahh..
Please don't suggest Twilight.. or Harry Potter.

Oh.
Also, if you have a good story on the internet that falls under those details. That'll be great too.

(:

I don't know what types of books you love reading, but everyone should read Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse. I'd also strongly reccomend One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez if you can handle magic realism because it'll keep you hooked, and Alexis by Marguerite Yourcenar for gay novels, it doesn't deal with relationships in that way, though, the novel has the form of a letter a 30something man [Alexis] sends to his wife after he leaves her and his child because he realizes that's not who he is- it's not as bad as it sounds, the writing style is heart-breaking beautiful.

Well nelleh if you want something completely different try the Ring trilogy by Koji Suzuki you have pleased him
the three books are Ring, Spiral and Loop and Ring is the book that spawned the film Ring. The other two books show how the world pans out after the events in Ring take place.

Also the ... [Either Shadow or Night] Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks. -cumslut- fantastic reading (Y)
