No Sin
I believe this was written... my sophomore year? 2002-2003ish?
---
the moon looks beautiful tonight
the caress of the stars against the night sky
makes the grass beneath my feet stir
the wind feels smooth against my skin
the rain makes me feel free and naked
in a world like this there is no sin
you can make love to your boyfriend
make love to life
kiss another guy
smoke a joint and get high
but as long as the moon looks beautiful
and the rain makes you feel alive
there is no sin and this world
and there is no reason to die.
checked. chester.

Re: No Sin
great flow
anyone else could have murdered it, with the theme and words used, but you pulled it off
love the last four lines

Re: No Sin
That is...the most pwnful message ever.
I dunno why everyone always associated the rain with sorrow. But I love the rain so much. It makes me happy and warm inside. And I feel that way, when I watch it rain from my balcony. I feel like, just for that moment, everything is beautiful and right.
And you said it so...pretty. I like this part especially:
Here I sit so close to the
Drowsy kiss of midnight
Curling my hair without a care
Of impressing the notice
Of anyone but you.
I can’t quite forget your face
Nor the shape it takes when
Those indescribable lips
Form the smile I keep hoping to see.
So here I sit so close to
Closing my stinging eyes but
Ignoring my own health in
Favor of venting them all out,
My thoughts of you.
Damn the daydreams and
The night ones too, because
I said, I said, I said I wouldn’t
Look at anyone again
But I can’t help looking at you.
There’s a lot more to say
Than I can fully understand
And that’s deeper than I
Care to even delve.
So I’ll just shut up now
In return for one thing:
A hello and goodbye from you.
It seems so trivial and yes,
It would be, had I asked it
Of anyone but you.
