The White Stripes
The band is made-up of ex-husband and wife duo Meg and Jack White, Meg on drums and percussion with the occasional vocal input, and Jack on everything else. They hail from Detroit and have released six albums which are; The White Stripes, De Stijl, White Blood Cells, Elephant, Get Behind Me Satan and Icky Thump. Jack is also one quarter of The Raconteurs (Saboteurs in Australia only) and has appeared in Cold Mountain and Walk Hard, whilst both Jack and Meg played themselves in Coffee and Cigarettes.
I started to listen to their music around the time that Get Behind Me Satan was released. Jack's a pretty awesome guitarist and vocalist, and they definitely have something going for them.

Re: The White Stripes
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS.
I seriously thought someone forgot them.
Has anyone seen the new video of Jack White feat. Alicia Keys? I was seriously flipping over it when I started listening. It was cool how they made it old school, yet had some James Bond flare--after all, it was of the James Bond OST.
The Racounteurs is an amazing band also. I love "Salute To Your Solution" and "Broken Boy Soldier." ^_^

OMG Another way to die by Jack White and Alicia Keys is epic. I never really liked her music but this completely changed my opinion of her as an artist all together. I think Jack is incredible. He was the first artist I ever met
and good news to all you White Stripes fans out there. There back together!!!
after canceling their American tour in 2007 because meg had some mental issues, she appeared last month at a Raconteurs concert, and they announced they are working on a new album.
Not to say i don't love the Raconteurs because I think there awesome. Except there is something about just Two musicians doing what it usually takes 4 or 5 to do, that makes me love the white stripes.

Re: The White Stripes
I finally checked out Another Way to Die. It's awesome.
And what does everyone else think of Jack's new band, The Dead Weather?
I've only heard two songs, but they're pretty good.
