you guys are so lucky i'm still here.

like...okay. tonight was my school's final concert for the year.
and you know we have six senior ensembles that played.
so first half goes fine, i play with symphonic orchestra (that's winds + strings).
second half kicks off, yay! wind ensemble plays star trek.
chamber orchestra (just strings) plays two long-ass, boring-ass, supposed-to-be-emotional-but-just-dragged-it-in-the-dirt pieces.
then our senior concert band.
picture this:
ninety-two high school students, all wearing white tux shirt + black tux pants + purple bowtie/cumberbund.
yeah. that's us.
so we play three HUGE pieces.
the first one we played was one that we played for music festival and won an award for.
it's a university level piece.
i start HACKING.
like, can't breathe, eyes streaming, boogers spewing, trying not to cough too loud so my conductor doesn't throw her baton at me.
almost threw up on the stage.
everyone around was like COLON HORROR!

definitely thought i was dying.

AND THEEEEEN:
we played the piece called 'inferno' which (YOU GUESSED IT) is about going to hell.
and then the finale of the fifth symphony by shostakovich.

but omg guys i almost died. ;_;

I did that once, at a sports aerobics final NOT COOL

they were announcing the winners and I was like, shitting myself, not letting myself breathe til they lapped, when I coughed.

but i won so it was okay
