Sun

I walked out into the sun,
Into the concoction of red and yellow,
As the subtly of dusk fell upon the street,
So did the silence.

I looked up as the light entered my eyes,
Looking for something beyond this earth,
Anything to make me believe in life,
Everything else was purely insignificant.

I imagine someone looking down,
At us all so small and petite,
Each person as beautiful as the next,
Because beauty is unlimited.

I myself feel the ability to love,
Even the strangers I pass on the street,
Wondering their life story and history,
Knowing these are the people that make the world.
