I was disgusted.
Times like these make me disgusted in the human race.

* Teenager prepares to jump from multi-storey carpark

* Crowd gathers, one shouts "how far can you bounce?"
Crowd behaviour "shocking reflection on society"

That's...pretty awful. It is.

Maybe its because no one takes it seriously anymore. People kill themselves every other day. Cutters and depression are so commonplace.

Sometimes, the saddest things just become a joke. And that's really the saddest thing of all.

i heard about something similar happening in derby, in england.

i thought it was disgusting, but at the same time, why make it so public?

I don't really think you have a right to question why someone choses to kill themself in a certain way.
Where else are they going to find somewhere tall enough to jump off?
If they'd decided to overdose they wouldn't have done it in the middle of town because pills are so accessible at home.
Perhaps they just had a really tall high rise building in their backyard to jump off :

if you're going to do something like that, i doubt you'd do it in the middle of the day in a busy public place.

why not? maybe thy just couldnt bring themselves to live through the rest of the day?

i just think that in so many cases, it could be read as attention seeking.
i know too little to form a definite opinion.
i'm cynical, sorry about that.

Attention seeking, maybe, yeah, but like, he ended up dead, what would be the POINT of attention seeking if he was going to end up like that any way? For 15 seconds of fame? I doubt it. I highly doubt it.

you don't know what people would do for attention >_> human nature is a mystery.
