The Blackout gig
Was incredible!
Started with a train journey writing on Tshirts while two hot emo/scene boys went into a toilet together... (totally did not press my ear against the door )
and ended with Alice, Polly and I vibrating on my living room floor.
LEMMIE EXPLAIN.
Okay, so we made awesome tshirts.. then bought tour tshirts anyway Well, Polly couldn't because she ditched us in the first minute so she could get to the front
But the tshirt she made was wayyy awesome-er than the ones we made
We got there half way through The Medic Droid's set, which was fecking awesome! Fer sure maybe, fer sure not... - the floor was shaking. And the keytar is my new fantaseeee.
We Are The Ocean were really good! I'd only heard a few of their songs before we went, but as they were wicked live, I shalt definitely get some more.
From First To Last on the other hand... were absolute bollocks. I thought they'd be at least half decent because they're so popular.. but NO. They're crap. AND the guitarist stood on my head.
Although their lead singer snogged Sean. So we forgive them.
THE BLACKOUT
took long anough to start! It took 87697572875369 chants of 'We. Are. THE DY-NA-MITE!' before they came on stage.
But it was well worth it.
Fairly near the beginning of their set, I moved away from the barrier because I couldn't breathe (stupid bitches who elbowed me and pulled my hair to try to get my place at the barrier... -grumble-) But anyway, I had so much more fun at the edge, becaue I actually had room to jump around and have fun =D
I laaaarved the new song they played... almost as much as I loved their cover of 'I Kissed A Girl'! That was amaaazing. And my poor dad got all excited because they played the begginning of an AC/DC/ song before it
'I'm a Riot' = easily the most fun song to thrash around to.
When we got home, we had pizza and chips, and watched Step Up 2: The Streets...
...hence our vibrating on the floor trying, to copy a weird dance move that involved vibrating on the floor
Why, what did you think I meant?
And then sleeeeep.
