Supporting characters: jake gyllenhall, miley cyrus (xD), pierce brosnan, with cameos by the members of PATD.

Love interest played by: Ellen Page (she'd make a great marlee)

Nemesis played by: paris hilton

It would be a: romance/drama

The ending would be: happy. Smile or sad...depending...

Basic plot outline: Mikey is [wherever] and his one true love, Princess Marlee moved away when they were 16. Mikey is now eighteen, a manslut, unhappy and druggy. He realizes that Marlee was the only thing that ever made his life okay and tries to find her. But her phone number changed. and her email address doesn't work anymore. and she apparently changed her last name too because she's not in any phone directory. So Mikey hitchhikes across America, meeting a lot of interesting people and learning their life stories, till he finally reaches Berkeley. Where it turns out, Marlee's mom got remarried to some guy named Joe Wilkins who is stupid and unemployed. Mikey heroically beats up Joe, kisses Marlee, picks her up bride-style and carries her off into the sunset.

Alternatively,

it turns out Marlee is dead. and Mikey learns that not every story has a happy ending, but you have to take what you can get from life or something and he gets a second chance at trying to move on.
