Money. Empty Money.

Post by she had the world. Wed 10 Dec 2008, 10:16 am

Nothing is free anymore... everything is far too expensive.

I'm so torn between my money issues at the moment. I still live at home, obviously saving me so much money at the moment. I want to buy a car, and I want to go to America to visit my best friend. But with the economy crisis at the moment it just makes everything a million times more difficult. Fuck. I still really want to go, and I have all the sums worked out in my head. If I put away money into my savings each week, I can be saving two grand per month and still be able to pay my rent every week and my phone bill.... it just means I won't have any money to spend.

But that's where I have to way up my costs. Our dollar is expected to drop to $0.50 USD next year.. and that'll mean I'm paying double for anything I spend overseas. I don't know. I'm so torn, I want to see my best friend and that's mainly the reason for going to America. It'll also depend if I can still actually go if Marlee passes Bio. PASS BIO MARLEE. YOU CAN DO IT.

I just don't know. Where do you draw the line of how expensive it will be compared to how worth it, it will be. My mother tells me to leave it, because we've seen eachother twice this year already and I can go the year after.

But you know, if I really knuckle down and budget my money and not spend then wouldn't that make up for all the money I would blow throughout next year anyway? If I save four grand by feb from not spending, couldn't I say that there's my trip overseas already? Then focus on getting a car. The airfare I've been quoted is $2500.

If I do decide to go, it'll just mean I have to make sacrifices.

Blah money.
Makes me hate growing up. Makes me hate money. Makes me hate the stupid economy. >_>

Whateverrr.

And on a side note, I have a realllllly bad cold. I'm so sick, it's not funny. Plus I feel like shit.

Try 12 to 18. That's what they say here. Australia currently isn't in recession though so hopefully we can stay out
