You should tell your teacher to [re]read Finnegans Wake and remember the importance of language and how it is a flexible tool.

Dunno, I had silly Literature teachers and class mates who gave me odd looks whenever I read story in class. I refuse to read personal stuff in class or to write much for friends anymore. Not necessary out of fear of rejection -at least I like to lie to myself that this is not the reason- but because writing for myself feels like enough.

I hope you never stop writing since you love it so much.
Are you considering creative writing courses? They're fun.
