So I am probably a bad fan, I haven't read the books, nor did I even know what it was until two weeks ago.
But I saw it last night.
And honest to God, I think it was absolutely amazing.
It was better than what I was expecting.
The Twilight franchise has copped a fair amount of flack, mostly from its older fans who disapprove of its "twi-teen" following, complete with homemade "I <3 EDWARD CULLEN" tshirts and screaming prepubescent vocals.
However, I am please to say that I found it satisfying, and I'm saving up for the books now. I want to read them, not to jump onto the bandwagon, but to get a feel for the story, I think that books offer alot more substance than film, its easier to describe emotion than to show it visually, I think.

-sighs-

I love... how in love they are.
They are so odd yet so perfect togther.

To be frank, I never found Robert Pattinson attractive, I couldn't look at him without my brain going "CEDRICCEDRICCEDRICCEDRIC", but after watching it I found myself oddly drawn to him... He's so unnatractive but so... attractive. He's mysterious, so I suppose that's what I was drawn too.

Oh man.

It was perfect.

Shal, JUST read Twilight.
And New Moon if you have to.
Hell, even go halfway through Eclipse.

BUT DO NOT READ BREAKING DAWN.
DO NOT
UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

I meannn... whatnow? O_O

The movie was... good. A bit different from the movie. Edward kind of scared me with his seriousness in the movie. He's more fun in the book.

I liked his character, I liked how he was serious. When he smiled or laughed or something it was character relief, it made him more believable.

Why can't I read Breaking Dawn? Is it bad? Or is it the one that rips people apart because its so sad?

Well, of course you CAN read it. lol@chu Ask Polly; she's more on the positive side for Twilight.

And... yeah... if you just read the Amazon reviews for BD, you'll see what I'm talking about. "It's like badly written fanfiction," etc.

I dunnooo, I never finished it.

Not anymore they're not.
She takes them so out of character it's not even funny. It's like WHO THE CRAP ARE THESE PEOPLE?

I didn't mind Breaking Dawn. There was some parts that were a bit like "ugh." but other than that. *shrug*

Eh. The beginning is very much like fanfiction, so is some parts through the rest of the book, but I think it does have positives about it as well. I'm not going to say though, cause I don't want to spoil it.

I friggin' laughed aloud at the plot summaries after BD came out LMFAOOO Srsly. She took it too far, but ohwell LMFAOOO

Eclipse is like... she didn't develop them, but warped them so that they weren't the characters we loved anymore. Edward got somewhat annoying with his sheltering, and Jacob... I'll say it again: borderline rapist.

New Moon was okay... it was long awaited. And Edward disappears for like... 400 pages T_T But his return scene was <3333!

Twilight will always be the best, even if it was less than perfect (if you reread and analyze it. Otherwise the stuff Eddie says just draws you in).

I liked the movie too, Bella was less annoying there LMFAOOO And ROBPATT OMG. I watched it again just to stare at him LMFAOOO [/teeneh] He srsly has off-moments, too pale and all, but he's reaaaally a beautiful guy, and he played a really good Edward. People say he's not perfect, but I loved that. His Edward was flawed, more human, and more preferable than the mannequin (if but suave and handsome one) in my head. When he smiles... MAGIC. LMFAOOO

Glad you enjoyed it, Mom -loves-

I think that was kind of rude, Polly. Not to be mean or anything but not everyone has read the book and it's unfair to give it away like that.

And although parts of breaking dawn are like that, I just think that stephanie meyer wanted to know what else the future held for her characters and I don't blame her for writing it down. But like I said, I think it does have some positives even if she did get carried away with bits. I liked the writing from the vampires persepective though (sorry, it's not like that hasn't already been spoiled) and I admit that a part of me always likes cushy endings or storylines. Not all the time, but sometimes they're bearable.

Oh, I was disappointed the way the plotline was resolved, I found it getting boring and she dragged it on for too many chapters.
