War-Food.
Growing out of his chest were
Rib-flowers, red-glazed, sprawled
On the ashes of your war's corpse
Tender, their thorns weep; so hungry and alone they
Eat up your molten bullets, your leftovers
Swallowed by the sand and the fumes, swallowed them to the bone
Quenching the soil's
Undying bloodlust. He's
Eaten; and in your war's stomach, he's rotting
It's an acrostic.

God, fatma, your writing is exquisite. It's like... fuck.
You know how I love dystopia? How I love China? How it's all such ugly things really but it looks so beautiful. That's your writing. No matter how horrid or twisted or messed-up the meaning really is, it's like fucking jemstones the way you make your words work. It always leaves me in awe.

What a poem.
That was brilliant... just fucking brilliant.
And even thought it was an acrostic, I love how you made it flow continuously.
