Re: Piercings
Has to be the curved ring, otherwise you wont be able to get it out, it crusts over pretty bad with the mix of blood and mucus, so you have to keep loosening it, which you cant do with a bar.libbey robots. wrote:forty shades of fire. wrote:libbey robots. wrote:I have two holes in my ears, both which are stretched to a size 8. I'm hoping to go to a four - without my mother knowing.
I would like my nose or my septum pierced. Especially my septum, but my mother objects.
I might get my septum done when I turn 16, which is in a month, and then get a clear plug for it or something, so my mom won't know.
You can't change the bar in it for 4 weeks after you get it done, usually longer.
but whats good for septums is you can tuck your balls in your nose, which hides the entire piercing.
if anyone laughs at that sentence ill tuck all of your balls in your noses.
Do you know if it is possible to just pierce with with a bar of some sort. Like something that doesn't come out of the nose at all? That way, I could leave that in until it healed and then once it was healed I could change it back and forth?
But as i said, the ring tucks up inside your nose, and NOONE can see you have done unless they're kneeling and looking into your nose.

Ah, that makes sense.
Would that be uncomfortable, tucking in your nose?
My n00bish questions must be annoying, but thank you for all the answers!
Re: Piercings
You have to be 16 to get a piercing done without parent's permission right?
Would it be smart just to get a friend to do it?

And no, getting a friend to do it isn't a good idea.
I'm pretty sure you can get it done if you have someone consenting for you that is 18, but it may be 16. I'm not sure. Do you have an older friend or something who could be your "brother"?
I know a girl who had a guy - she hardly knew him even - pretend to be her brother or something and she was able to get a tattoo.

It has to be your guardian.
If your parents died and your brother was looking after you, sure.
More times than not, they ask for proof of guardian

i went to get my belly button pierced with my brother when i was fifteen.
[i didn't end up getting it done, but that's beside the point]
it just has to be someone older than eighteen if you're under sixteen. and they have to claim responsibility for you - but they DON'T have to be your guardian.
if you're over sixteen you can go on your own.

Re: Piercings
As said, in Canada it doesn't need to be your guardian.
I know a girl whose friend took her to get her tongue done.
I am a little fuzzy on it though. My friend just turned 16 today, so legally she could get herself a piercing without consent. I thought that meant she could take me. She said she she couldn't consent for me, however.
Anyone know exactly how it is? Do they have to be 18 to consent?

What ever you do, please don't get a friend to pierce you.gabe saporta wrote:You have to be 16 to get a piercing done without parent's permission right?

That is just bad news.
And with the whole parent's permission, some places are real strict and you need a parent.
Like when I got my nose done this summer, I went with my dad's girlfriend and the guy working there had to phone my dad to make sure it was okay with him.
And I know some places check ID and shit.
But like Libbey said, some places don't even care and if the person's over 18 they'll pierce you.
But from experience, getting a piercing against your parents wishes is not always the best thing to do.
You get in trouble.

Yes, but I got my nose pierced in Ontario and it was my dad's girlfriend who took me.rafiki, wrote:actually, not in canada.

First the guy working asked if she was my sister and she told him that she was my step-mom (cause she practically is).
The guy phoned my dad at home to make sure it was okay with him.
And I was a month and a half away from being sixteen.
So I think it really just depends on the place.
Different businesses have different rules.

No, it can be a family member here. My aunt took my 15 year old cousin to get her nose done, while her mum was at work and they had no problem.

I think if they take full responsbility for you, then its ok.
Re: Piercings
Does that mean I'd be able to take my 13-year-old sister to get a piercing?
She'd so try to get me to if it was possible.

Re: Piercings
I got my first piercing when I was ... 7 or 8. It was my ears and a communion present from my grandparents. I didn't want to get them done, but they got me these shiny golden hoops so I kind of felt like I had to. Never wore the earrings once.
Then when I was 10, my neighbor took me to get my second holes done.
Then two years ago, 12, I got my third hole in each ear.
And then 4 months ago, I got my nose pierced.
I really wanna get my cartilage done, but my mom said that it'd hurt a lot and she doesn't want me to get it done. Yet she'll take me to get my nose pierced.

Re: Piercings
Guys I need helpppp.
So I've wanted angelbites for AGES and my parents finally agreed
Ages isn't a month or two; we're talking like over a year now. Since before I got my first piercing, cause I wanted snakebites and angelbites.
I photoshopped a picture:
So, opinions? They's be sparkly ones, clear, and smaller than my lip stud.
I mean, I already have a lip piercing AND plugs and I'm not going to take them out, so it's not like they'd limit work. I can still work in pm any clothing store, and Bunnings (which pays well and needs jobs) I know also doesnt care. Same for any nightfill job.
So the main worry is do they look good on me?

Mikey, I'm going to be blunt with you, I think they will look tacky.
You're snakebites are okay, but angelbites are a bit gross, I think. Just opinion.
I think multiple facial piercings are a tad unnecessary.
I draw the line at two.
Just opinion -shrugs-

^ I disagree.
If they're little like that, I think they'd look good.
I think you could pull them off, Mikey.
Trace Cyrus' are too big, I think, which could be partially why they don't look good.
