The All-American Rejects
Wikipedia: wrote:The All-American Rejects is a rock band sometimes referred to as AAR, from Stillwater, Oklahoma formed by Tyson Ritter and Nick Wheeler in 2001. The breakthrough debut album The All-American Rejects was originally released in 2002, and was later re-released in 2003, launching the band into mainstream success with the hit song, "Swing, Swing". The group followed this up with its sophomore album Move Along, which catapulted its status to one of the top pop rock bands, producing three U.S. Hot 100 top twenty hits (two of them reaching the top ten). The band's album Move Along has been certified double Platinum in the U.S. by the RIAA[1] and the self-titled release in 2003 has also been certified Platinum. The band is planning on releasing its third album When the World Comes Down on December 16, 2008.

I was introduced to this band mid last year from a friend who had mentioned them to me when I was going through my "I NEED NEW MUSIC," stage. I don't really remember how I ended up getting into them, I think I just went straight out and bought their first CD because I'd heard 'Swing Swing' and 'My Paper Heart' and liked their stuff.
Then I realised after that, that 'Dirty Little Secret' is used in so many teen films that it isn't even funny. But, y'know.
Annnnd. They're coming to Australia for the first time next year to support Fall Out Boy. When I found this out (Jack told me via a phone call,) my reaction was something along the lines of "OMG REALLY? I LOVE THEM!!" I was sooo happy.
Personally, I like their sound. It's upbeat, and I like a lot of their lyrics. They have some lines that really stand out in some of their songs. Although their 2nd album is better than the first.
Anyway. Anyone else a fan?

It Ends Tonight is a good song. 'Move Along' would be one of my favourites, I love the message of hope that it gives out. I also love 'Kiss Yourself Goodbye'
My favourite lines from their songs are:
"Just be brave, listen to me. You're heart gives mine reason to beat now" (Eyelash Wishes)
"So a day when you've lost yourself completely, could be a night when your life ends." (Move Along)
I really like Gives you Hell, it's kinda cool. I'm so excited about them coming here now. ^_^

Even if I didn't like the music I probably would still be in
love with these boys. They're so damn fun and goofy.
But Tyson has such an amazing voice, it's so different compare
to most pop bands these days. It's refreshing.

Re: The All-American Rejects
I saw them with Blink 182 over the summer and I was disappointed. Not so much with their performance, but with the actual band. Tyson Ritter especially.
I've been to a lot of concerts and I've never seen a band treat their audience like shit like AAR did. And it made me mad because you know what, they're popular enough but they are not big enough to get away with treating people like shit. I dunno. It just really annoyed me. I mean, obviously I don't think any band/performer/whatever should treat their audience like shit.
Whatever. I was just annoyed because I don't mind some of their music but I won't forget his cocky/jackass attitude.
