Re: Make Up
It amuses me that I know more about makeup than girls and she's right, Katie
I, on the other hand, do need to know about makeup, because as part of my obsession with costuming, I do epic horror makeup. I guess I worked out how to do it to begin with by thinking of it as paint. -shrug- I'm an artist, a face is a canvas. Blending etc isnt too hard, when you thik of it like that.
Also, I despise makeup brushes. I'll do whatever I can to avoid using them, because they for fucking sure drive me insain -_-
tbh, fingers work just as good, as long as you're not going for the complete cakeface look. well, with concealer/foundation, that is. Obvs one of the exceptions to the no brush rule is powder -nod-
And now I'm off to see if I can find pictures of the slit wrists I made last year... also, the time I did my friend up as a scene queen that was pretty epic

Re: Make Up
I barely know how to put on make-up
and everytime put on eyeliner [liquid or pen] I risk losing an eye. >_> it's not pretty.
I would love to know how to put on make-up properly but I don't show it
but I do have some eyeliner and mascara that're prolly overused by now. I know these things have experation dates that's why I get all paranoid and not touch them if I see that they get clumpy or smell funny
My little sisters know about make-up more than I do >_>

Re: Make Up
I agree with M.D.
I HATE using brushes. Especially for eyeshadow.
But I tried the blending thing. Brown towards the inner part of the lid (towards my nose) and red for the rest of it. Looks pretty damn cool, actually. I think from gold to purple would work out pretty nicely too. I'll do some experiments and see if I can put up pictures.

Re: Make Up
I have a 3$ liquid eyeliner, and its the best thing I ever brought.
I had a 20$ revlon kohl pencil and it was absolute sex, until I lost it during Footloose, I was so disappointed.
I just use a grey one now, because it doesnt look too heavy and I can wear it everywhere.

Re: Make Up
so, i found this site that tells you how good [or bad] your makeup is for you. you just search it and it rates it zero to ten [zero is very good, ten is very bad] on how good for you it is.
it's kind of interesting and probably pretty useful.

Re: Make Up
You can use Medussa eyeshadow powders under lipgloss as bright lipstick...

I wouldn't do that. Its not meant for that purpose. (although that eyeshadow is amazing)
However, if you want bright lips, Medussa lipgloss is used for that exact purpose. It would probably look more appropriate, and would be more suitable for your lips; and I would think it would last longer. Or, if you just want lipstick, I'd go with Rimmel or Covergirl. M.A.C and Zephora are great if you're looking for a more upscale and 'reliable' brand.
Re: Make Up
^Actually, it says right on the website that you can do that.
It says the eye shadow is safe on your lips.

Re: Make Up
^ I'd be afraid of it going really streaky and clumping up, and drying out really pasty.
I just wouldn't do it personally.
