Today I bled a lot

Don't you hate when people type the phrase 'a lot' as 'alot'? there's no such word as alot. There's allot, but that means designate.

Anyway.

This is about something weird that happened today when I couldn't stop bleeding. So you know, don't read it if you dislike blood or whatever.

So we all know I'm a little ADD fiddlebug (wow fiddlebug, I just made that up) and I have this thing where I just have to be doing something all the time. HAVE to. I'll check my phone constantly, play with my hair, bite my nails, pick at loose threads on my clothes, etcetcetc.

And, I have these veins. They're weird; they're like, right under the surface of my skin. Like, not proper ones, just tiny little dots. I guess these dots are like man-holes, and my veins are the sewers? And the skin over the veins is the little bit of metal that stops children falling in. Or in this case, ~~sewage~~ blood coming out.

Anyway, I was scraching at my hand and suddenly my fingers came away wet. I'd scratched the skin off the top of this little surface vein thing. And it was bleeding. Like. Heaps.

I mean, this thing is literally the size of a pinprick. I have stuck pins into my body (hi, four ear piercings) and they haven't bled AT ALL. So I knew it wasn't just capillaries; there had to be something else going on.

but anyway I wiped the blood away and assumed it would stop. it didn't. It just kept coming.

it was actually kind of funny because everyone around me was freaking out, but I was just sitting there like 'Shit I'm going to bleed on my jeans'. I guess they figured if there's enough blood to be staining my clothes, I should be more scared? IDK, I mean, they've seen my scars but I guess it didn't click that blood kind of doesn't phase me any more.

Well anyway I went and rinsed it (by this time the whole of the back of my hand was covered in blood and it was still coming; I had to cover it with my other one to stop it dripping on the floor) and I was watching more and more just come out under the water. Like, seriously, body, you're insane. How do you BLEED that much from such a tiny hole. And then I went and soaked half a paper towel through before it finally slowed down. And then I knocked it and it started again. So I put pressure on it for like ten minutes and then put a bandaid on really tight.

It started bleeding AGAIN in the shower, so I had to freaking get out and find another bandaid. But its off now because I figure the - cut? Stupidly small hole type thing? anyway - won't dry out properly if I have one on.

So I'm hoping it IS just that it was a vein and not that I'm not a haemophiliac. cause haemophelia would suck.

Yeah. That is my story.

If you were a haemopheliac you would have shown other symptoms by now. Its a genetic condition that you get from birth so there's no way you could possibly have it. Like haemopheliacs can bump their knee and die from loss of blood.

Then you say fiddlebug.

Anyway, im sure its nothing to be worried about, you didnt bleed and die so its okay.
But still, i hope you and your jeans are okay.

I saw a movie about 20 minutes ago and there was this guy who couldn't stop bleeding from small wounds. Turns out he had leukemia.

True, but Mr. Correct English has this weird thing where he writes the way he talks. Hence the often off placement (or lack) of commas, full stops, etc. Lol.

Lol weakness, fatigue, abnormal bleeding and bruising, bone/joint pain and lowered immune system. Hay thur. >_>

Note to all journal participants; do not suggest illnesses to me. I am a redonk hypochondriac. Once I thought I had tuberculosis when I had bronchitis.

I mean in my defense it was pretty bad and I was coughing up blood. BUT STILL. Ahaha

Lmao.

It's all good; I have to have a blood test done soon anyway. I have them a lot because a) I'm still getting back into the balanced eating thing after the ED and b) I'm a vegetarian sometimes almost vegan. It's much more likely that I just have a bad diet.

But my parents have the weird little veiny manhole things (that's my analogy and I'll stick with it) too so I'm assuming that's what it is.
